Is Nutella your guilty pleasure? If so, we’re here to tell you that there are worse things in which you can indulge. You might as well enjoy the rich spread for breakfast every now and again, and when you do, follow these recipes we’re highlighting today. There are a number of breakfast formulas to choose from, but you want to get it right when it comes to Nutella. These recipes will show you how versatile the hazelnut butter really is.

1. Nutella-Stuffed Pancakes

We’re kicking things off on a decadent note with Nutella-stuffed pancakes from Marsha’s Baking Addiction. Breakfasts don’t get much more dreamy than this, and while the recipe yields six thick pancakes, it might be wise to double it. Preheat your skillet and prepare to take your pancakes up a notch.
Ingredients:
  • 1½ cups plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 14 tablespoons Nutella

Directions: Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place 2 tablespoons of Nutella on a baking tray, and spread the Nutella to form a disc. Repeat seven times. Freeze baking tray until Nutella is firm. This will take 1 to 2 hours.

Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.

Take one disc of Nutella from the freezer. Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Drop ¼ cup of the pre-mixed batter into the pan, place the Nutella in the middle, then top with more batter. Cook both sides of the pancake until both are golden. Repeat with the remaining batter and Nutella.

2. Nutella Oatmeal

Next up is more of an every day breakfast from Simply Scratch. Oatmeal can get old really fast, but when you switch things up and try variations like this, you’ll never tire of the morning comfort food. This recipe can be ready in 5 minutes and will leave you satisfied all morning.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella
  • 1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
  • A pinch of kosher salt
  • Sliced banana
Directions: In a small saucepan, heat milk until boiling. Stir in oats and reduce heat to medium. Stop stirring once the oats have absorbed the milk. Once the milk is absorbed, remove the oatmeal from burner and stir in brown sugar and Nutella. Serve in a separate bowl and top with sliced bananas.

 3. Strawberry Nutella French Toast Rolls

If you need a new slow Saturday morning breakfast, these strawberry Nutella french toast rolls from The Kitchen Magpie are for you. How do you make french toast rolls? You simply flatten your bread with a rolling pin, roll the bread up tightly, coat the bread in an egg, milk, and vanilla mixture, and then cook until golden brown.
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices white sandwich bread
  • Nutella
  • Sliced strawberries (small pieces)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • Dash of vanilla
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for the frying pan

Directions: Remove the crust from the bread and then flatten each piece of bread using a rolling pin. Spread Nutella onto the bread; add a few pieces of strawberries on top. Roll the bread up tightly and place seam side down. Repeat with remaining pieces of bread.

Whisk the eggs, milk, and vanilla together in a shallow bowl. On a separate small plate, combine the sugar and cinnamon.

Heat a skillet set over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Take each roll of bread and dip into the egg mixture, coating completely. Place rolls in the pan seam side down. Cook until golden brown.

Once the rolls are fully cooked, remove them from frying pan and place them immediately into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve plain, with syrup or brown sugar sauce.

  • ⅓ cup Nutella
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 cup ice

Directions: Combine yogurt, Nutella, banana, and ice in a blender, blending until smoothie reaches your desired consistency.

Nutella granola is great to enjoy in milk, over yogurt, or on its own. Skip the sugary, processed grocery store brands and make your own granola at home via this recipe from Hot Chocolate Hits. It yields 8 to 10 servings and can be made in just 15 minutes. Combining Nutella, oats, sunflower seeds, almonds, and hazelnuts, this homemade granola is much better (and healthier) than any kind you can find at the store.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup golden syrup
  • ¼-⅓ cup Nutella
  • 3 cups old fashioned, rolled oats
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds (optional)
  • ⅓ cup flaked almonds (optional)
  • ¾ cup roughly chopped hazelnuts (optional)

Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take a 12-by-17-inch rectangular baking tray and line with parchment paper.

Combine the oil and golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat until the mixture thins out. Stir in the Nutella. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the oats and nuts. Once combined, spread the mixture on the baking tray in an even layer.

After baking the granola for 10 minutes, remove baking pan and stir granola. Allow it to cool before serving.

They bake for fewer than 15 minutes and can be made into standard or mini muffins. Next time you need to bake a breakfast treat that will impress, these Nutella muffins should be your go-to.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons self-rising flour or all-purpose flour plus ½ teaspoon baking powder
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 28 mini muffin cups.
